Aerial Maneuvers

Posted on July 1, 2013

Aerial pool maneuvers, risky canal crossings, rope induced swinging, banquet coors, monumental leaps, rocket illuminations, spraypaint masterpieces, incomprehensible vibes. We take summer pretty seriously here at Life Apparel, keep up folks.

Endless Summer

Posted on June 14, 2013

Cover Photo11The culmination of hours of late night movie watching, local expeditions, dozens of pencil and paper sketches, and the desire to put out the best line I could is what birthed the Summer 2013 collection. A small collection of tees, tanks, and hats (coming real soon!), the Summer line is the largest release I’ve done to date and one that I can say was the most fun putting together from start to finish. From staying up well into the early hours of the morning working on designs to hand packaging every single one of the 300 tees by hand, we’ve kept up the do-it-yourself mentality that everyone’s come to love about the brand. We’ve come a long way since the start back in 2009 and if this line is any indication of where we’re headed, I’d say you can expect a lot more from the Life Apparel family in the future. The collection includes 4 new tees, 2 new tanks, and a restock of the classic “Flynn” tee, all available now over at the online shop! Thank you to everyone that helped me along the road to put this together and to all the Life Apparel Family for keeping up with the brand and giving us reason to put these collections together.

New! OHANA Tees!

Posted on February 12, 2013

It’s been a year since I’ve released anything and here we are on the horizon of a new release. It’s been a weird transition settling into college life and moving forward with the brand and I have to be honest, I haven’t really been sure where to go. I can’t say I know exactly where I’m headed with it but I can ensure you all that things are about to get much bigger and I’m looking forward to bringing the Life Apparel Family along the ride. It’s weird how things are working out, even though I may not be posting every day, or every month for that matter, designs are being drawn, goods are being crafted, and moves are being made. Spring/Summer 2013, we’re going big. Also on a side note, if you have an Instagram, check out our contest for a chance to win some free shirts! More info on the contest here. But enough of all that nonsense, here’s the deal with the tees:

A Special Place

Posted on June 20, 2012

It’s currently 1 AM and for some reason I thought I should get a head start on writing this post. With only 13 hours left until graduation, I just wanted to stop and look back on the last four years at Lawrence High School and thank everyone for helping me get to where I’m at today. *Note to the reader: If you’re looking to read about shirts, come back another day* And so, I hope you enjoy my pseudo-letter to all of you beautiful people.

Starting the brand a few months into freshmen year I honestly had no idea what I was doing or what the hell I even wanted out of starting something like this. Little by little, with the help of everyone that’s helped keep the brand running I’ve learned more than I ever thought I would’ve and figured out not only what I’d like out of the company, but what I’d like to do and where I’d like to go. I’ve made the best friends I’ve ever known, met people I otherwise wouldn’t have, and most important to me; shared the joy in what I like to do with everyone else.  It’s impossible to really convey how much I appreciate the massive amounts of support I’ve gotten over the last 4 years and the happiness it brings me to know that everyone finds a little bit of enjoyment in what I’ve created; it’s honestly one of the best feelings ever and something I will never stop appreciating from the Life Apparel family. I honestly don’t care how large this operation gets or how many orders start pouring in the future, but I’ll always appreciate sharing my enjoyment with others, whether it be through something as simple as a t-shirt or something like traversing a waterfall and soaking in the beauty of the earth together, Iron John. Like I’ve stated in a few recent posts rather than focus on products and all of that nonsense, this summer, for me and the company, is going to be all about The Escape. Sheer enjoyment and adventure is all that I’ll be focused on and I’m looking forward to sharing the experiences and good vibes with everyone on board! So thank you all and most importantly congratulations to my class of 2012! Together we’ve shared some of the best memories of our lives and probably taught each other a hell of a lot more than we’ve learned in class. I can’t wait to see everyone thrive in their post-high school careers, what we’ve accomplished these last 4 years is nothing compared to what we will in the future. I’d just like to let everyone and anyone know that I sincerely thank you all for contributing to the best 4 years of high school I could ever ask for and whether or not we cross paths in the future, I’ll always hold you all in a special place inside.

Also, for any underclassmen, or anyone in general really, my words of advice would be: Stop and smell the roses once in a while and try to find yourself somewhere in the process; Life’s too short to get caught up in all of the nonsense.

**Update** Just graduated, this is wild. Now that school’s over I can say this will probably be the last you hear from me for a bit. So the next time you see me I’ll probably be swinging from a vine or rafting the Lehigh River. Enjoy your summer folks, I know I will.
